Meet Julie.
Julie Develin is a keynote speaker, workforce strategist, consultant, podcaster, and adjunct professor who helps leaders make sense of what is changing at work and what to do about it.
With more than two decades of experience spanning human resources, workforce strategy, HR technology, leadership, employee experience, compensation, payroll, organizational change, and the future of work, Julie has built her career at the intersection of people, technology, and business. She holds an M.S. in Human Resources Development, holds a SHRM-SCP certification, and has achieved the GTML accreditation.
Her work focuses on the questions organizations are wrestling with now: how AI is changing the way work gets done, how leaders can navigate change and uncertainty, what employees need from managers, how organizations build stronger workplace cultures, and how technology can support better decisions without losing the human element of work.
Julie is known for translating complex workplace issues into practical, useful conversations. Her areas of expertise include human-AI collaboration, workforce transformation, manager effectiveness, employee experience, workplace culture, HR and payroll technology, total rewards, leadership, organizational change, and the evolving relationship between people and technology. She brings both a strategic and practitioner perspective to her work, helping organizations move beyond trends and theory to understand what an issue means for their people, their leaders, and their business.
As a speaker and facilitator, Julie has addressed hundreds of audiences around the globe on topics ranging from AI and the future of work to leadership, culture, compensation, employee experience, and navigating change. She is also experienced in moderating panels, hosting live conversations, emceeing events, and leading executive and team discussions. Her style combines research, real-world experience, practical insight, and a willingness to ask the questions people are often thinking but not always saying out loud.
For more than 17 years she has also been an adjunct professor at McDaniel College, where she teaches graduate-level courses in Total Rewards and Human Resources for Nonprofit and Public Organizations. Her work in the classroom reflects the same philosophy she brings to speaking and consulting: helping people move from understanding concepts to making better decisions in real organizations.
Rather than treating technology and humanity as competing forces, Julie explores how organizations can use technology to strengthen judgment, decision-making, performance, connection, and the overall experience of work.
